At a news conference from the 2010 North American International Auto Show, Ford was given an extraordinary honor; their 2010 Transit Connect was named Truck of the Year. An innovative design from Ford, it is ideal for small business owners who need to move products from place to place every so often. It is spacious and fuel efficient, yet it is small enough to fit in a driveway. All those things make it a great bargain for people who need plenty of space in a home or business vehicle.

The Transit Connect has a lot of space, and is equipped to carry cargo weighing up to 1,600 pounds. In addition, it has 135 cubic feet of cargo space. But consider the fueling perks as well. At 22 mpg in the city, and 25 mpg in highway driving, it is is perfect for those with a tighter gas budget. No other American vehicle offers such storage capacity and fuel efficiency. Ford has done some terrific things with the Transit Connect to set it above its competitors in both the domestic market as well as the international market.

Consider the physical features of the truck as well. With two side sliding doors and symmetric back doors, taking things in and out of this Ford is a breeze. The loading heights are low, so heavier items will not have to be lifted up terribly high to find placement in the truck. Ford purposely created the Transit Connect to cater to the needs of small business owners. It is affordable, great on the road, and easy to store products in. Perhaps it is for those reasons that the North American International Auto Show found it appropriate to title the Transit Connect "Truck of the Year."

Since 2003, Ford has sold over 600,000 Transit Connects to people all over the globe. In fact, it has been driven in 58 countries on a total of 4 continents. People are still anxious to get their hands on this truck. It has proven itself to be one of the best options for new businesses looking to get their name out and onto the road.
